Ed MacArthur - Board Chair

Ed moved to the Yampa Valley in December of 1979 after graduating with an Accounting degree from Colorado State University. The concept of being only an accountant didn't fit the long term goal of entrepreneurship. In June of 1981 Native Excavating Inc. was created by Ed and his wife June. In the early 90's Ed and June along with another partner created Frontier Structures inc. , a concrete installation contractor, as a complementary business to Native Excavating. A few years later as a method to help construction workers have year round work High Mountain Snowmobile Tours was created. In 2002 the MacArthurs purchased Hochin Gravel and upon completion of reclamation of that operation started Alpine Aggregates, a gravel mining operation on the south valley floor. Ed and June have ventured into Mini Storage with the Copper Ridge Mini Storage , mobil van storage with Northwest Mobil Storage and into banking as founding members of Yampa Valley Bank.
Entrepreneurship has been a key part of the MacArthur's adventure through life and Ed looks forward to helping others navigate the maze to achieve it.
